Karen C. Snyder, Ph.D., Researcher Emeritus

Karen is the founder of The Strategy Team and its principal from 1994-2008. Prior to founding The Strategy Team, she was the vice president of research for Central Ohio’s largest integrated marketing agency. She understands how research must lead to successful programs, products and marketing plans.

Karen holds a doctorate in political science from The Ohio State University with concentrations in public opinion research, voting behavior, legislative behavior and methodologies. She also performed extensive graduate work at the Fisher College of Business in marketing and market research. She is a guest lecturer in both departments on applied research techniques and their strategic application. OSU graduate students from three departments – marketing and market research, social psychology and political science – are referred to The Strategy Team by professors for training in applied methods.

She sails the coast of Maine for two weeks in the summer and navigates and anchors with…well…trepidation. Other athletic adventures include getting “road rash” while bike riding and “face planting” while cross-country skiing. In the community she has served as President of the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus, a Trustee of Columbus State Community College, a volunteer for political campaigns, educational, child care and other issues.
